Music & Arts is seeking a Full-Time Senior Sales Associate to drive sales, service, and music education support in our retail store. In this role, you'll engage students, parents, and educators, recommending band and orchestra instruments, rentals, repairs, accessories, and private lessons. You will lead by example on the sales floor, open and close the store, process transactions, manage merchandising and inventory, and support local school programs. Ideal candidates have retail sales experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for music and helping students succeed. Responsibilities Provide consultative sales support to students, parents, and educators for instruments, rentals, repairs, and accessories Promote and schedule private music lessons, supporting store lesson growth goals Lead by example on the sales floor, modeling excellent customer service and sales techniques Operate POS system accurately, handling cash, credit, and returns per company policy Assist with merchandising, pricing, and visual standards to maintain an engaging store environment Support inventory management including stocking, cycle counts, and shrink control Build relationships with local schools and music educators to support programs and events Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, escalating when appropriate Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including daily reconciliation Collaborate with teammates to meet sales targets and key performance metrics Required Skills Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling and reconciliation Customer relationship management Product merchandising Inventory management Music instrument product knowledge Upselling and cross-selling Basic computer skills Lesson scheduling software
