Job Description

Event Security // Lost Lands 2026 THIS

POSTING IS FOR LOST LANDS ONLY. SEPTEMBER 15 THROUGH 21.

Centurion Security is staffing Lost Lands at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio. Staff arrive September 15, shifts begin September 16, and the event runs through September 21. We are hiring individuals interested in festival security who can fulfill the duties below.

Position type:

Seasonal / temporary event staff

Pay:

Starting at $17 per hour Minimum age: 18+

JOB DUTIES Specific:

Stationary posts: monitor secured areas Venue gates: screen patrons for prohibited items

General:

Provide leadership and direction during emergencies and assist emergency personnel as needed Make contact with police when needed for law enforcement or order maintenance Monitor your assigned area and stay vigilant for prohibited items

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HOURS

Each staff member works 12 to 18 hours

EVERY DAY

of the event. This is not negotiable. Any exception must be approved in writing by Centurion Management. September 17 through 20 are mandatory days. Shifts run rain or shine, in all weather, around the clock. Expect both day and overnight shifts. Transportation is provided from select Michigan locations (Grand Rapids and Lansing) to the venue. Additional pickup locations may be added as needed. This is a

CAMPING EVENT.

Centurion provides a large canopy for staff who cannot arrange their own shelter. Space is LIMITED and MUST be reserved in advance. Meals are provided for working shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must: Be 18 or older Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Be able to work flexible hours, including overnight Display a high standard of ethical conduct Be able to stand and walk for an entire shift (12 to 18 hours), outdoors, in all weather Be eligible to pass the Ohio security guard registration screening (fingerprinting required) Pass an employment background investigation A detailed resume of relevant experience and training is welcome but optional.
