This is not simply a cashier position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with customers and takes pride in keeping a retail operation organized, attractive, and running smoothly. The ideal candidate has extensive face-to-face customer service and sales experience, is comfortable working independently, and naturally notices what needs to be done without having to be continually directed. Key Responsibilities Provide friendly, professional, face-to-face customer service Assist customers with product questions and purchasing decisions Actively engage customers and help generate sales Operate our computerized point-of-sale (POS) system and process transactions accurately Organize, price, display, and merchandise incoming inventory Maintain attractive, orderly, and easy-to-shop merchandise displays Perform quality-control checks on merchandise before it is placed on the sales floor Identify damaged, incomplete, or incorrectly priced merchandise Help maintain an organized sales floor, checkout area, and inventory areas Assist with receiving and processing new merchandise Become familiar with our constantly changing inventory so you can effectively assist customers Help with opening, closing, and general day-to-day store operations Take initiative when something needs to be organized, cleaned, corrected, or completed Who We're Looking For We would especially like to hear from candidates with 10+ years of face-to-face customer service and/or sales experience.

Our ideal candidate is:

Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with customers Experienced in customer service and sales Dependable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable using computers and learning a POS system Able to work independently without constant supervision Someone who takes pride in doing things correctly Comfortable working in a fast-changing retail environment Able to shift between helping customers, merchandising, organizing, and completing operational tasks Sales-minded without being pushy Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Willing to take ownership of their responsibilities and contribute wherever needed Compensation This position pays $16.00 per hour plus commission . With commission, compensation typically works out somewhere between $18.00 - $20.00 per hour , with earnings influenced by sales performance. Schedule & Growth Opportunity This position is for part-time (15 - 25 hrs wk) , however if interested there is the potential to develop into a full-time position for the right individual .
