Value Chain (Going Going Gone!) is seeking a Team Captain Footwear&Apparel to lead teammates in a fast-paced, value-focused retail environment. In this role, you will drive sales and customer service in footwear and apparel, ensuring accurate fitting, product knowledge, and add-on sales. You will oversee merchandising, signage, and inventory accuracy, helping execute markdowns and promotions quickly and correctly. The Team Captain supports training, daily direction, and performance feedback for associates while maintaining store standards, loss prevention practices, and a clean, safe shopping experience. Responsibilities Lead daily floor operations for footwear and apparel areas to meet sales and service goals Coach and support associates on product knowledge, sizing, and add-on sales Ensure accurate merchandising, signage, and replenishment of product Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and reduce shrink Open/close areas as assigned, including cash handling and POS oversight Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally Coordinate with store leadership on promotions, markdowns, and price changes Maintain store standards for cleanliness, safety, and loss prevention Track key performance metrics and communicate results to the team Support onboarding and training of new associates in assigned departments Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Footwear fitting and sizing Apparel merchandising Inventory control Point-of-sale (POS) operation Team leadership Cash handling and reconciliation Visual merchandising Loss prevention
