Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a store clerk, answering questions and helping in store customers, as well as phone-in questions. This position will include some sales and potential for commission. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with products, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. An outgoing personality is a MUST. Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and manage cash drawer handling with integrity. Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise, and ensure the store layout is attractive and clean. Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer calls, providing clear information or directing inquiries to appropriate team members. Assist with inventory management by stocking new products, conducting stock counts, and supporting inventory audits. Be able to be productive when unsupervised. Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail environment. Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales, discounts, and inventory counts. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and effective communication abilities. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and product demos. Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers over the phone. Experience in upselling techniques to enhance sales performance. Familiarity with stock management procedures including stocking, inventory checks, and merchandising standards.
