Sales Associate Job Description The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, answering questions, and providing knowledgeable recommendations to create a positive shopping experience. This role includes processing sales transactions accurately, handling cash and electronic payments, and assisting with returns or exchanges in accordance with company policies. Sales Associates are expected to maintain an organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing sales floor by restocking merchandise, arranging displays, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring products are properly labeled. They also support the team in meeting sales goals by promoting current promotions, upselling products when appropriate, and building positive customer relationships. In addition to customer service and sales responsibilities, Sales Associates are responsible for completing daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. These duties may include sweeping and mopping floors, dusting shelves and displays, cleaning windows and counters, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, taking out trash, organizing storage areas, and keeping restrooms, break areas, and workstations clean throughout the day. Associates are expected to follow all company policies and safety procedures while contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace.
