Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Counter Person. As a Counter Person, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our Parts Store. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of retail sales, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Assist customers at the counter by answering inquiries and providing product information
• Process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Maintain accurate inventory control by monitoring stock levels and conducting regular audits
• Provide assistance with order fulfillment, including locating and retrieving items from inventory
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient customer service
• Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure

Qualifications:

Previous experience in truck parts, automotive parts, heavy-duty parts, retail sales, or customer service is preferred. Knowledge of semi-truck, commercial truck, or trailer parts is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Basic knowledge of retail math and inventory control principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders, transactions, and records. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using computers, POS systems, email, and other computer applications. Ability to learn parts catalogs, product information, and company software. Reliable, organized, and dependable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
