The Sales Associate will be responsible for helping customers find the products they want by utilizing product knowledge and processing customer payments. Additionally, the Associate will maintain the store's appearance by stocking products, marking price tags, taking inventory, and preparing displays. A Sales Associate will possess great communication skills, demonstrate professionalism and reliability as well as flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities :

• The essential duties for this position include but are not limited to: o Customer Service
• Demonstrates a welcoming attitude towards customers.
• Answers telephone calls and responds to any other correspondence in a courteous manner.
• Ability to look up a customer's history for previous sales.
• Knowledge of company policies regarding warranties.
• Schedules service calls as needed.
• Coordinate with coworkers by ensuring all customers have been helped, splitting sales when appropriate, and communicating about items to be displayed, transferred, repaired, etc. o Sales
• Learn and apply selling techniques by explaining features and benefits of products.
• Achieves acceptable sales goals including percentages and volume.
• Utilizes computer systems to enter invoices, check on item availability, transfer merchandise and collect payments.
• Completes transactions by processing financing paperwork and using bankcard machines.

Store Appearance:

• Maintains store areas by cleaning, dusting, pricing, and arranging products as instructed.
• Keeps area beautifully displayed with accessories and artwork.
• Keeps store areas safe for customers and employees.
• Ensures store is priced & current promotional items are displayed neatly.

Company:

• Consistently on-time to assigned work schedule and hours.
• Participates in all company sales events and initiatives.
• Attends training sessions and department meetings as required.
• Operates alarm system to open and close the store as required.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Flexible for providing associate coverage at other stores if needed.

Education :

• None.

Experience :

• Demonstrated experience and ability to successfully perform Sales Associate responsibilities is a plus.

Bilingual is a plus. Prior furniture and mattress sales experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• This position regularly requires the ability to but not limited to standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, and reaching.

Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull of objects up to 50 pounds.
