The Engineering Supervisor will provide amazing guest service while maintaining the full operational functionality of the building. You and the entire engineering team are responsible for the repair, service, and preventative maintenance of all things within and outside of the hotel building. Taking pride and passion for your work and working within a team.
Compensation:
$28
$32/hr depending on experience
Essential Job Functions:
Lead by example as a supervisor, assisting guests with room calls and efficiently troubleshooting any concerns brought to your attention
Create and manage the Engineering department weekly schedule
Confident in managing Vendor relationships with 3rd party work that is contracted on property
A comfort working in and on computers with Outlook email, basic MS word and MS Excel usage
Maintain an exceptional Preventative Maintenance program for guest rooms and various operational equipment, including pools, kitchen equipment, and other assigned areas
Support your department head's needs while providing guidance and mentorship to the engineering team
Foster a collaborative team environment within your department and across other departments such as Front Office, Security, Sales, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage
Prioritize safety by utilizing proper PPE and adhering to all safety regulations set by the city, state, and OSHA
Perform comprehensive general repair and maintenance on all equipment in and around the hotel, ensuring everything is in top working order
Physical Demands:
Lift, push, pull, rotate 70lbs or more
Standing and walking up to a full 8 hours a day
Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification a plus
Previous experience working in a hotel or customer service capacity required
Experience:
Mathematical knowledge of building and construction
Previous experience overseeing direction to team members
Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
Preferred Experience working on HVAC, plumbing, construction and machinery
