We're looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager who brings both operational excellence and a deep love of food culture to help lead our team and elevate every guest experience. The Role As Assistant Store Manager, you will be the engine behind daily operations — supporting the Store Manager in driving sales, leading a high-performing team, and maintaining the elevated standards our customers expect. You will have direct oversight of our front of house experience and work closely with our kitchen team to ensure our prepared foods program runs at peak quality every day. What You'll Do

▸ Lead, coach, and develop a team of front of house associates across all departments

▸ Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, scheduling, and floor management

▸ Partner with the kitchen and prepared foods team to help maintain production standards, quality, and presentation

▸ Deliver an exceptional, personalized customer experience consistent with our gourmet market identity

▸ Handle customer escalations with professionalism and a hospitality-first mindset

▸ Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department standards

▸ Support vendor relationships and ensure accurate, quality-controlled receiving

▸ Step in as acting Store Manager during absences and lead by example on the floor every shift

What We're Looking For Required:

✓ Minimum 3-5 years of management or operations experience in a high-volume food, retail, or hospitality environment ✓ Proven ability to lead, schedule, and develop a large front of house team ✓ Strong operational skills — scheduling, P&L awareness, food safety compliance ✓ Experience managing or working alongside a prepared foods, deli, or culinary production program ✓ Track record of delivering exceptional customer service and resolving escalations effectively

Strongly Preferred:

★ Background in the hospitality industry with front of house AND back of house exposure ★ Genuine passion for specialty food, culinary trends, artisan products, and food culture ★ Experience in a gourmet market, specialty grocery, upscale restaurant, or similar environment ★ ServSafe certification or equivalent food handler's license ★ Familiarity with POS systems and retail/food service inventory platforms What We Offer
