The Bailey Boys, Inc. | St. Simons Island, GA Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | On-Site | Some Saturdays Required The Bailey Boys is an established, family-owned children's apparel company approaching 40 years in business on St. Simons Island, Georgia. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and versatile individual to join our team. This is a true all-hands-on-deck position that works across three main areas of our business: Office & E-Commerce | Retail & Customer Service | Inventory & Order Fulfillment The position will spend approximately equal time in each area. This is not a traditional desk job, retail-only position, or warehouse-only position. We are a small team, and daily responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business. The right person will be comfortable moving between all three areas and willing to step in wherever needed. Office & E-Commerce Maintain accurate products, SKUs, pricing, inventory, purchase orders, and customer information across multiple systems. Upload and update products, images, descriptions, pricing, and inventory in Shopify, our point-of-sale system, and other platforms . Import and export data, enter orders, run reports, and work regularly in Excel, Outlook, Word, and other business software . Create orders and invoices, process credit card payments, and follow up professionally regarding declined or outstanding payments. Answer emails and phone calls from retail and wholesale customers. Assist with social media content and digital marketing as needed. Retail & Customer Service Assist customers in our high-end retail store , providing attentive and professional service to an upscale clientele. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for our high-end retail environment. Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with customers in person and by phone. Assist with sales, customer questions, merchandise, and day-to-day needs of the retail store. Understand the different needs of our retail consumers and wholesale accounts and communicate appropriately with each. Inventory & Order Fulfillment Maintain and help ensure the accuracy and organization of physical inventory. Pull, pack, and prepare both retail and wholesale orders for shipment. Receive, physically unpack, organize, and put away incoming merchandise. Assist with inventory counts and keeping merchandise and stock areas organized. Help physically unload trailers and large incoming merchandise shipments. Move merchandise, cartons, and boxes throughout our facility as needed. Who We're Looking For Above all, we need someone who is dependable, adaptable, extremely detail-oriented, and willing to help wherever needed. The right candidate should be comfortable going from working on an Excel spreadsheet or uploading products to Shopify, to professionally assisting a customer in our retail store, to pulling and packing orders in our shipping department—all within the same day. Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment are essential. We are looking for someone who notices when something doesn't look right, asks questions when necessary, and takes initiative to find a solution rather than simply completing a task.

Candidates should also:

Be confident using computers and comfortable learning new software and systems. Have strong written and verbal communication skills. Be able to manage multiple priorities without constant supervision. Understand that accuracy is critical when working with inventory, pricing, purchase orders, payments, and customer information. Be comfortable performing both detailed administrative work and active, hands-on work. Have a professional appearance and demeanor and strong verbal communication skills when working with our upscale clientele. Experience with Shopify, Lightspeed Retail, NuORDER, Microsoft Excel, e-commerce, inventory management, or similar systems is a plus , but training will be provided on our specific platforms. Physical Requirements & Schedule This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving merchandise and boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, five days per week at our St. Simons Island location. Our retail store is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. This is not strictly a Monday-Friday position, and some Saturdays are required . This position is 100% on-site. Remote work is not available.
