Job Summary Retail Sales Manager - Flooring Industry Experience Required Carpetland USA - Sycamore, IL Full-Time | $50,000 Management Salary + Unlimited Sales Commission Carpetland USA is seeking an experienced Retail Sales Manager to lead our Sycamore showroom while also maintaining a strong personal sales book. This is a hands-on, sales-heavy management position for someone with deep flooring-industry experience. The successful candidate must be able to step into a well-established operation, manage complex customer relationships, handle claims and installation issues, support the sales team, and continue building substantial personal sales. This is not an entry-level flooring position . Compensation $50,000 annual management salary Unlimited commission on personal sales No commission cap Significant earning potential for a strong producer Required Experience Minimum 5 years of flooring-industry experience Strong knowledge of residential flooring products and installation Proven retail flooring sales experience Experience handling customer complaints, product concerns, installation issues, and claims Ability to work through difficult or high-expectation customer situations professionally Understanding of quoting, measuring, margins, ordering, installation coordination, and project follow-through Experience managing or mentoring salespeople is strongly preferred Candidates without substantial flooring-industry experience will not be considered. Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operations of the Sycamore retail showroom Maintain and grow a strong personal book of flooring business Work with established and long-term customers Manage more complex customer projects from initial sale through completion Handle customer concerns, installation issues, and claims Work with manufacturers, installers, and internal staff to resolve problems Coach and support the showroom sales team Monitor open quotes, leads, follow-up, and sales activity Drive store sales and gross-profit performance Maintain showroom presentation and merchandising standards Coordinate with estimating, installation, office, and operations teams Assist with hiring, training, and development of sales consultants Review store performance with company leadership Ensure company procedures and customer-service standards are consistently followed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who already understands the flooring business and can operate with a high level of independence.
