This role is all about leading by example, ensuring smooth daily operations, and delivering top-notch customer service. As a Store Shift Leader, you'll oversee the store during your shift, manage team members, handle sales and inventory tasks, and ensure that everything runs efficiently and effectively. Duties Supervise daily store operations during your shift, including opening and closing procedures. Lead and motivate team members to maintain excellent customer service standards. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities. Train new employees on store policies, customer service techniques, and operational procedures. Assist with employee scheduling and ensure compliance with company policies. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance overall shopping experience. Requirements Proven experience in grocery retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a diverse team. Excellent communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus! Solid understanding of inventory management, POS systems, and sales management techniques. Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and inventory calculations. Experience with employee on-boarding, interviewing and training new staff. Knowledge of retail math, merchandising, stock control, and operational management practices. Good organizational skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
