This is not a desk manager position . In an independent repair shop, the manager has to be able to lead the team, control workflow, solve problems, hold people accountable, communicate with customers, sell work and step into the advisor role when needed. If your idea of management is pointing, clicking and waiting for someone else to handle the hard stuff, this probably is not the right fit. If you are the type of person who walks into a busy shop, sees what needs to happen and gets everyone moving in the same direction, we want to talk. Compensation $100,000

• 140,000+ annually based on experience, leadership ability and performance.

This is a true working-manager role with significant responsibility and upside for the right person. The Role You will be responsible for helping lead the daily operation of the shop while also working directly with customers and the service team.

That means:

Controlling workflow and keeping vehicles moving through the shop Leading, motivating and holding the team accountable Working with technicians to keep production on track Writing service, building estimates and presenting recommendations Managing customer expectations and communication Staying ahead of problems instead of reacting to them Keeping the schedule, car count and shop capacity moving in the right direction Following up on opportunities and helping drive sales Maintaining a high standard for customer experience Helping the team exceed expectations, not just meet the minimum Making good decisions without needing constant direction Common sense matters here. So does urgency. So does being able to keep your composure when the day gets busy. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with real automotive service experience who understands both the people side and the production side of the business.

The right person will have:

Automotive service advisor, service manager or store manager experience Strong sales and customer communication skills Experience managing technicians and workflow The ability to lead without creating unnecessary drama Strong organization and follow-through Good judgment and common sense A sense of urgency The ability to make decisions and solve problems A track record of producing results The motivation to push the operation forward instead of simply maintaining it Independent-shop experience is a major plus. Experience with high-volume repair facilities, tire stores, dealerships or multi-service operations will also be considered.
