The Common Goods Retail Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the Crosby Common Goods store. This position leads the store team and ensures strong production, customer service, safety, operational, and financial performance in support of the mission of Bridges of Hope. The Retail Manager also represents Common Goods and Bridges of Hope through community relationships, networking, events, and fundraising activities. Specific Responsibilities and Expectations Store Operations & Performance

• Lead daily store operations, staffing, workflow, and priorities.
• Maintain strong production, pricing, quality, merchandising, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Monitor sales, production, payroll, expenses, donations, recycling, and inventory flow to meet goals and maximize profitability. Team Leadership
• Lead, train, coach, and develop an engaged, productive, and accountable team.
• Set clear expectations and provide timely feedback, retraining, performance management, and employee reviews.
• Develop schedules that provide appropriate coverage while responsibly managing payroll. Customer, Donor & Volunteer Experience
• Maintain a welcoming and consistent experience for customers, donors, and volunteers.
• Reinforce established customer service and donation intake standards.
• Recruit, engage, coordinate, and support volunteers and respond appropriately to concerns. Safety & Facility
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and proactively identify and address hazards.
• Monitor building, equipment, maintenance, and emergency preparedness needs. Community Engagement & Fundraising
• Represent Common Goods and Bridges of Hope professionally in Crosby and the surrounding community.
• Build relationships with businesses, organizations, donors, and community partners.
• Participate in networking, community events, fundraising, and organizational activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Director. Qualifications
• Commitment to the vision and mission of Bridges of Hope.
• Previous retail experience; retail leadership, or management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound decisions, and build positive relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working with POS Schedule Full-time position with a flexible retail leadership schedule.

The Retail Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate coverage and must be available for occasional evenings and weekends as store operations, staffing, community events, networking, and fundraising needs require. Common Goods Crosby store hours are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., with seasonal Sunday hours of 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:

starting at $55,000 annually, based on experience. Cafeteria 125 Plan, SIMPLE IRA contributions and matching plan, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, and Common Goods employee discount.
