Job Description
Job Overview Shatto Milk Company is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Store Relations Manager to support our growing presence across the Kansas City area and surrounding markets. This role plays a key part in ensuring our fresh, locally produced dairy products—and beloved specialty items like flavored milks, cheeses, butter, and ice cream—are well-stocked, attractively merchandised, and easily accessible for our customers. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with excellent communication skills, strong attention to quality, and a passion for representing a local, family-owned brand. Key Responsibilities Oversee and maintain assigned Shatto retail routes to ensure timely delivery, accurate stocking, and high-quality presentation of all Shatto Milk Company products. Monitor product freshness, rotate stock according to dairy-specific standards, and ensure all merchandise meets our company's brand expectations. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with store managers, dairy managers, and staff across grocery, convenience, and specialty retail partners. Identify new opportunities to increase product visibility, expand cooler or shelf space, introduce seasonal or specialty items, and drive overall sales in each account. Provide training, guidance, and day-to-day support to route personnel when needed to ensure consistent service and company representation. Track route performance, inventory levels, product returns, and merchandising conditions; complete daily or weekly reports as required. Communicate any product shortages, store concerns, or potential growth opportunities to leadership. Ensure route schedules are followed efficiently while maintaining strong customer service and brand integrity. Qualifications Previous experience in route management, retail, merchandising, distribution, or sales, preferably with perishable products or beverages. Strong communication, customer-service, and relationship-building abilities. Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently. Physically able to lift, load, and merchandise dairy products and coolers as needed. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record; CDL not required.
