Automotive Sales Manager Nissan of Hendersonville | Hendersonville, TN Nissan of Hendersonville is looking for an energized, results-driven Automotive Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team, elevate the customer experience, and help drive the next stage of dealership growth. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to build momentum on the showroom floor, coach talent in real time, and turn opportunities into long-term customer relationships. What Youll Lead As Automotive Sales Manager, you will set the pace for the sales departmentfrom daily workflow and inventory strategy to customer follow-up and team performance. You will work closely with the General Manager, F&I team, BDC, service department, and manufacturer partners to deliver a seamless ownership experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, coaching, motivating, and holding accountable a team of automotive sales professionals. Managing the day-to-day sales floor, including customer engagement, deal structuring, desking, and closing support. Monitoring sales activity, lead response, appointments, demonstrations, write-ups, deliveries, and follow-up performance. Helping sales consultants develop stronger product knowledge, presentation skills, objection handling, negotiation techniques, and CRM discipline. Driving new-vehicle, pre-owned, finance product, trade-in, and customer-retention opportunities. Partnering with the Used Car Manager and leadership team on inventory needs, merchandising, pricing awareness, and aging-unit strategy. Reviewing dealership KPIs and using data to improve volume, gross profit, close rates, appointment show rates, CSI, and team productivity. Ensuring every customer receives a professional, transparent, pressure-free, and memorable experience. Resolving customer concerns quickly and professionally while protecting the dealerships reputation. Maintaining compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, lending requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Supporting recruiting, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and career development for the sales team. Staying visible, engaged, and accessible on the showroom floorespecially during high-traffic periods. What Success Looks Like In this role, you will help create a sales culture that is competitive, collaborative, customer-focused, and accountable.

Consistently guide the team toward monthly volume, gross, CSI, and retention goals. Build a disciplined sales process that converts internet leads, phone opportunities, walk-ins, and repeat customers. Create an environment where team members want to perform, improve, and stay. What You Bring Previous automotive sales-management experience preferred, including experience desking deals and leading a retail sales team. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales, gross-profit, and customer-satisfaction goals. Strong understanding of dealership sales operations, CRM processes, digital leads, inventory, trade appraisal, financing workflow, and compliance expectations. Exceptional communication, coaching, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. A high level of personal accountability, professionalism, and integrity. Comfort making decisions in a fast-moving environment and adapting to changing business needs. A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record. Ability to work a dealership retail schedule, including evenings and weekends. Experience with Nissan products, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerSocket, VinSolutions, Elead, or similar dealership systems is a plusbut a proven ability to lead people and deliver results matters most.
