JOB OVERVIEW

We are opening a brand new location in New Hyde Park, and we're looking for an energetic and organized Store Manager to lead our retail team. In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about retail management, possesses strong leadership skills, and enjoys creating a positive shopping experience for customers. RESPONSIBILITIES

▸ Own full responsibility for daily store operations, including opening and closing

▸ Hire, train, and develop Assistant Store Managers and all store staff

▸ Lead and supervise the team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service

▸ Implement effective sales strategies and promotional activities to meet or exceed sales targets

▸ Oversee inventory management, including stock purchasing, merchandising, and stock control

▸ Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing needs while managing budgets and pricing strategies

▸ Control labor costs, food costs, and other controllable expenses

▸ Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash management

▸ Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction

▸ Support pre-opening setup, including staffing, training, and inventory ordering

▸ Set the tone for excellent customer service and build the store's reputation in the community

QUALIFICATIONS

▸ 3 or more years of retail or food service management experience required

▸ Prior experience opening a new store or location strongly preferred

▸ Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a team

▸ Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting

▸ Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L, labor cost, and inventory management

▸ Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, merchandising, and basic office/bookkeeping tools

▸ Retail store product knowledge, pricing strategies, and retail math

▸ Excellent communication and organizational skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus

▸ Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire)

▸ Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Pay:

$66,300.00 - $90,000.00 per year
