Summary/Overview:

Performance of a variety of store functions for the purpose of fulfilling the company's mission of providing quality products at low prices while maintaining excellent customer service in a friendly, clean work environment. These functions include, but are not limited to, employee supervision, direction, and/or substituting for supervisors, stockers and cashiers while implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist Manager with daily supervision of store operations including (employees, customers, and vendors), product, and policy. Managing store inventory in accordance with company policies. Communicating company policy to employees and customers. Exercise discretion and leadership in business operation. Assist with employee supervision such as teaching and coaching employees at every level. Accept manager responsibilities when the Manager is away from store. Be able to work without supervision, shows consideration for others, work under pressure accurately, quickly, and creatively, follow directions and maintain confidentiality. Follow all procedures as outlined in the Sharp Shopper Handbook and Manager on Duty Manual. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers and co-workers. Read, speak, and write English. Regular and punctual attendance. Flexible work schedule may be required. Accept change and exercise a leadership role in guiding employees, customers and suppliers through change.

Qualifications:

Previous equivalent work experience preferred.

Machines/Tools/Equipment:

10-key calculator, personal computer, copy machine. Forklift, electric pallet jack, pallet jack, cash register, price gun.

Working Conditions:

Primarily working in a store with some time spent in a warehouse or outside. Normal working hours generally during store retail hours. Will be required to work certain nights and Saturdays.
