In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, nurturing, and organized closing of our infant and toddler classroom at the end of each day. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a secure environment where children feel loved and cared for, while also supporting smooth transitions for families and staff. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's development while working in a vibrant, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Safely supervise children during the closing period, ensuring their well-being and comfort until parents arrive or until the classroom is securely closed Complete end-of-day cleaning, sanitizing toys, surfaces, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards Organize and prepare classroom materials for the next day's activities, maintaining an inviting environment for children Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns or updates Follow all mandated reporting laws and childcare regulations to ensure compliance and safety at all times Assist with diapering, feeding, or comforting children as needed during the closing shift Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and child attendance records Skills Experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or daycare setting Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise children safely and effectively Familiarity with pediatric first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Excellent communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Ability to follow health protocols including diapering, sanitizing, and hygiene procedures Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for young children Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Prior daycare center experience or preschool teaching background preferred High school diploma or GED required Must be 18 Join us in creating a warm, safe environment where young children can thrive!
