Job Overview Killington Deli is seeking an assistant manager to help oversee retail operations including Citgo Gas Station, Convenience Store and 802Spirits Liquor Outlet. The Assistant Store Manager will support the store management team in overseeing daily store operations, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your leadership will drive sales growth, foster a positive team environment, and uphold the highest standards of store presentation and customer satisfaction. Duties Assist the store manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management Lead and motivate the retail sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective training, coaching, and performance management Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to optimize product availability and reduce shrinkage Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding to build a skilled and motivated team Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and ensure accurate recordkeeping for all financial transactions Support operational management by coordinating purchasing decisions, supervising stock stocking activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty Implement marketing initiatives within the store to promote products and special offers while maintaining an organized store layout Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities in a retail setting Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and recruiting processes Proficiency in basic math for cash register operations, budgeting, and inventory calculations Organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, stock control, and operational tasks Ability to manage time efficiently across shift management duties while maintaining high standards of customer service Knowledge of deli, grocery or liquor store operations is required

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
