Tips and quarterly profit-based incentive Position Summary Chicko Chicken is seeking an experienced restaurant professional to serve as the Store Manager of our Mountlake Terrace location. The Store Manager will be responsible for the store's overall day-to-day operation, including Front-of-House and Back-of-House operations, employee management, scheduling, inventory control, purchasing, food costs, customer service, and financial performance. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Store Manager is expected to work directly alongside team members when necessary while maintaining full responsibility for the store's operational standards and performance. Compensation and Schedule Starting pay of $24 per hour Approximately 40 hours per week Overtime must be approved in advance Evening and weekend availability required Tips calculated and paid separately Additional incentive equal to 5% of the store's net operating profit, calculated and paid quarterly Key Responsibilities Restaurant Operations Manage and oversee daily Front-of-House and Back-of-House operations Maintain efficient workflows and consistent operating standards Take responsibility for ensuring shift coverage when an employee is absent or unable to work a scheduled shift Ensure compliance with food-safety, sanitation, health, and workplace-safety requirements Maintain Chicko Chicken's standards for food preparation, product quality, cleanliness, and customer service Work alongside team members and provide hands-on support during busy periods Oversee opening and closing procedures Identify operational problems and implement appropriate solutions Communicate significant operational issues to upper management promptly Obtain a Food Protection Manager Certification within one month of employment; the company will reimburse the certification expense Inventory and Purchasing Inspect poultry and other food products for quality and freshness Monitor inventory levels, product usage, and food waste Maintain adequate supplies of food, sauces, packaging, cleaning materials, and other operating items Prepare, place, and follow up on vendor orders Prevent product shortages, unnecessary overstock, and excessive food waste Complete weekly supply-purchasing trips to approved vendors when necessary Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records Report product-quality and supply issues promptly Staff Management Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, discipline, and, when necessary, terminate FOH and BOH employees in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws. Prepare and maintain weekly employee schedules Ensure appropriate staffing and shift coverage Provide clear direction, coaching, and feedback to team members Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, performance, and compliance with company policies Address employee performance and conduct issues professionally Make recommendations regarding hiring, disciplinary action, and termination to upper management Obtain upper-management approval before finalizing wage offers or employment terminations Promote teamwork, accountability, respectful communication, and a positive work environment Set a professional example through dependability, punctuality, and hands-on leadership Financial and Cost Management Complete and verify end-of-day closing procedures Count and reconcile cash deposits Review daily sales and operating information Monitor labor costs, food costs, inventory variances, and waste Implement practical measures to reduce unnecessary expenses and improve profitability Protect company cash, inventory, equipment, and other assets Work toward the store's operational and financial goals Customer Service Respond professionally and promptly to customer questions, concerns, and complaints Direct FOH employees in resolving customer-service issues Handle online-order and third-party delivery-platform problems Process discounts and refunds in accordance with company policy Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for customers Minimum Qualifications At least five years of restaurant experience in FOH, BOH, or a combination of both Previous leadership experience as a shift lead, kitchen lead, supervisor, assistant manager, Store Manager, or similar position Ability and willingness to manage both FOH and BOH operations Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to recruit, train, direct, evaluate, and hold employees accountable Working knowledge of restaurant scheduling, inventory management, food costs, labor costs, cash handling, and customer service Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Evening and weekend availability required Reliable transportation required for occasional business-related supply purchases Food Protection Manager Certification preferred; otherwise, certification must be obtained within one month of employment Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move for extended periods Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment Ability to lift and carry restaurant inventory and supplies as reasonably required Ability to perform both FOH and BOH duties when operational support is needed Chicko Chicken is an equal opportunity employer.
