We are an apparel and souvenir shop on Water Street right in the heart of the historic district! Do you enjoy sales as much as you enjoy being in community? If yes, our team could be a fit for you. As a leader on our team, you are responsible to lead the team by example to engage and serve our customers and each other, and help the team meet team and individual sales goals through training and ongoing coaching. The store manager is also responsible for the execution of in-store merchandising and inventory management under the guidance of our senior merchandising manager. Working closely with Owners group to identify opportunities to grow community and retail sales.

Core Activities and Skills:

Sales and customer service focused; every customer matters, and feels valued. Demonstrate knowledge of product offered in store, specifically the story of our local artisans. Approachable and enjoy conversation with customers. Contribute and collaborate with your teammates to achieve team and individual sales goals. Facilitate in-store inventory receiving, tagging and replenishment on the sales floor. Manage open and close procedure with point of sale system. Capture customer information if they would like to stay in touch or have specific product request. Communicate to owners group opportunities identified by customers to grow store business. Identify business opportunities that fit in core business categories, all recommendations welcome. Handle administrative functions such as banking, supply ordering, hiring, training and scheduling. Responsible for ensuring store is staffed and open all stated business hours. Housekeeping to maintain a clean and well-kept store. Position Requirements Approachable, outgoing and customer service focused. Understanding of point of sale transactions and procedures. Skilled at multi-tasking and is detail oriented. Reliable self-starter that sees what needs to be done, and does it. Experience in retail is preferred. Able to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts. Store Hours will range from 10am - 7pm depending on the time of year, so please confirm availability within this time window for opening, closing and/or all day shifts.

Pay:

From $21.00 per hour
