We are seeking an on-site Sales Engineer to join and support our internal engineering department, acting as both the customer-facing technical backbone and the standard-bearer for our production documentation. The Role You will directly support the internal engineering department by managing the vital transition from initial customer concepts to final production. You will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing by handling technical customer inquiries, analyzing SolidWorks models, and managing the request-for-quote (RFQ) pipeline. Crucially, you will also lead the creation, standardization, and maintenance of factory work instructions, ensuring all shop floor procedures are fully compliant with

ISO 9001

quality management standards.

Key Responsibilities Engineering Department Liaison :

Act as the primary on-site funnel for all technical customer communications, protecting the internal design team's focus.

Work Instructions :

Author, review, and maintain standardized production work instructions for the factory floor to ensure full compliance with

ISO 9001

standards. Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

Support :

Receive and analyze client 2D drawings and 3D SolidWorks models to assess initial project scope and manufacturing compatibility.

On-Site & Field Collaboration :

Participate in internal engineering review meetings with occasional travel to customer or vendor sites to ensure project alignment.

Project Tracking :

Manage the timeline for new tool prototyping, engineering changes, and sample approvals, ensuring seamless handoffs to the production floor.

Required Qualifications Education :

Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a highly relevant industrial field.

SolidWorks Proficiency :

Hands-on experience opening, viewing, sectioning, and measuring 3D parts and assemblies in SolidWorks.

ISO 9001

Familiarity :

Clear understanding of manufacturing quality documentation requirements, specifically regarding revision controls, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.

Location & Travel Availability :

Ability to work fully on-site at our factory daily, with the flexibility to travel locally/regionally for customer and vendor site visits as needed.

Experience :

2+ years working alongside an engineering, quality, or manufacturing team, ideally in a foundry, molding, or metal-forming environment.

Technical Communication :

Exceptional ability to translate complex engineering feedback into clear, professional instructions for both corporate clients and factory floor operators.

Pay:

From $60,000.00 per year
