As we expand our agricultural business, we are seeking an experienced sales professional with strong relationships throughout California and Arizona's agricultural industry. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Agricultural Chemical Sales Representative to develop and grow business throughout California and Arizona. This is an outside sales, relationship-driven role focused on growers, agricultural distributors, retailers, crop consultants, farm managers, and other agricultural businesses. The ideal candidate has an established customer network, understands crop nutrition and agricultural chemicals, and has a proven track record of growing a sales territory. Key Responsibilities Develop new business and grow sales throughout California and Arizona. Build and maintain relationships with growers, distributors, retailers, crop consultants, and agricultural businesses. Leverage existing customer relationships to generate new business opportunities. Develop and execute territory growth strategies. Manage and expand existing customer accounts. Recommend chemical, fertilizer, and crop nutrition solutions based on customer needs. Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales. Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM records. Monitor agricultural market trends, pricing, and seasonal demand. Coordinate product evaluations and field trials when appropriate. Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory. Work closely with purchasing, logistics, customer service, suppliers, and technical support. Qualifications 5+ years of outside sales experience in agricultural chemicals, crop nutrition, fertilizers, or agricultural distribution. Established relationships with growers, distributors, agricultural retailers, or other industry customers. Proven success developing and growing a sales territory. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Understanding of agricultural supply chains and distribution channels. Bachelor's degree preferred in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, Chemistry, Plant Science, or a related field. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively. Preferred Qualifications Existing customer network in California or Arizona. Experience selling specialty agricultural chemicals or fertilizers. Crop nutrition or agronomy experience. Experience selling directly to growers or large farming operations. Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification. Experience with specialty crops or agricultural cooperatives. Technical knowledge of agricultural products and applications. Product Experience Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: Crop Nutrition Products Specialty Fertilizers Micronutrients Soil Amendments Plant Nutrition Products Agricultural Adjuvants Specialty Agricultural Chemicals Agricultural Water Treatment Products Industrial Agricultural Chemicals Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is: Relationship-driven and entrepreneurial.
