We are seeking a driven and well-organized Sales Representative to join our Sales Team. This role owns and grows a portfolio of retail accounts, building strong day-to-day relationships with buyers and category managers while prospecting and closing new business. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of retail accounts, which may include large, national accounts, building and maintaining strong day-to-day relationships with buyers and category managers. Meet or exceed a quarterly sales quota on Qualified Sales, with revenue goals that grow year over year as assigned accounts mature and expand. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product information, pricing proposals, and quotes to prospective and existing accounts. Represent Brightz at trade shows, industry events, and in-person account visits as needed, which may occasionally require travel or hours outside the standard schedule. Identify, prospect, and close new retail accounts, including negotiating and securing first orders from newly won business. Maintain a minimum of 25 quality conversations with clients per week Stay current on Brightz's product line, pricing, and promotional programs, as well as competitor activity and retail industry trends. Communicate clearly and proactively with clients on delivery windows, compliance and labeling requirements, and order specifications. Coordinate closely with Brightz's office and warehouse team on order details — reducing chargebacks, returns, and rush/expedited freight. Collaborate with Customer Success, warehouse, and finance teams to resolve account issues and support a positive customer experience. Log every client interaction — phone calls, emails, text messages, and in-person meetings — in the CRM in real time. Track pipeline and account performance accurately, and provide regular forecasts and updates to the Sales Manager. Comply with all CRM documentation, activity reporting, and other requirements outlined in Brightz's Sales Commission Plan. Qualifications & Requirements B2B sales experience preferred, but not required — Brightz will train the right candidate. Comfort with high-volume phone and email outreach, and the persistence to consistently hit weekly conversation targets. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with retail buyers. Disciplined about documentation — willing and able to log every client interaction in the CRM in real time. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and order specifications at once. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and consistently use a CRM system. Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for trade shows, industry events, and in-person account visits. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be located within, or willing to relocate to, a commutable distance from Brightz's main office: 8000 Yankee Road, Ottawa Lake, MI 49267 Compensation & Benefits $50,000 annual base salary. $15,000 guaranteed annual commission for year 1 while you learn the business.
