Job Description

Part-Time Inside Sales Assistant Concreteworks East — East Brunswick, NJ Concreteworks East is a custom manufacturer of architectural precast concrete and GFRC products serving architects, contractors, and construction professionals throughout the region. We are looking for a Part-Time Inside Sales Assistant to support our Inside Sales and Estimating team. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, comfortable communicating with customers, and enjoys keeping sales opportunities moving forward. You will play an important role in communicating with potential customers, following up on opportunities, maintaining accurate CRM information, and helping our sales and estimating team stay organized. Responsibilities Assist the Inside Sales and Estimating team with day-to-day sales and customer communication. Communicate with potential customers by phone and email regarding new inquiries and active opportunities. Follow up with prospective customers to gather information, answer basic questions, and keep opportunities moving forward. Field incoming sales calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member. Manage and maintain customer and opportunity information in Salesforce . Create and assign tasks for the sales and estimating team and follow up on outstanding items. Take clear and detailed notes from customer conversations and meetings. Upload and organize proposals, drawings, specifications, photos, and other project files in Salesforce. Assist with scheduling meetings, calls, and follow-ups using Microsoft Outlook . Help maintain an organized sales pipeline and ensure customer inquiries receive timely follow-up. Assist with general sales and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Previous experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system is required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook , including email and calendar management. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose clear, professional emails. Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, confident telephone manner. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Able to manage multiple opportunities, tasks, and follow-ups simultaneously. Reliable and able to work independently while supporting a team. Comfortable communicating with architects, contractors, vendors, and other business professionals.
Preferred:
Experience in the architecture, engineering, construction, building products, manufacturing, or related industries . Familiarity with construction terminology, architectural drawings, specifications, or building materials. Previous experience supporting a sales, estimating, or project management team. Schedule This is a part-time position, approximately 20-26 hours per week . Days and hours are flexible and can be arranged around the right candidate's availability and the needs of the team. Compensation $27-$30 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Location East Brunswick, NJ This is primarily an in-office position, with the potential for some flexibility depending on experience and responsibilities. You should be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking with prospective customers, writing professional emails, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The right person will be someone who naturally thinks, "What needs to happen next?" and takes ownership of making sure it gets done.
