Sales Representative - Chemicals, Polymers & Resins Livingston, New Jersey | Hybrid $85,000-$120,000 base salary, depending on experience An established global chemical manufacturer is seeking a Sales Representative to join its Polyolefins division in Livingston, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional with experience in chemicals, plastics, polymers, resins or another industrial raw-materials market to develop their career with a major international manufacturer. Direct polyolefins experience is not essential. However, you must understand technical or industrial products and have experience building commercial relationships within a relevant market. What you'll be doing Manage and develop relationships with existing customers and distribution partners Identify prospective customers and generate new-business opportunities Manage commercial opportunities from initial contact through pricing, negotiation and contract execution Support the continued growth of domestic polyolefins sales Understand customers' requirements and recommend appropriate product solutions Work closely with marketing, technical service, customer service, logistics and finance Respond to customer enquiries regarding products, pricing, deliveries, payments and service Maintain accurate customer, pipeline and sales activity records within the CRM Attend customer meetings and relevant industry events as required What we're looking for At least one year of B2B sales, account management or business-development experience Commercial or customer-facing experience within chemicals, plastics, polymers, resins, petrochemicals or related industrial raw materials Experience managing existing customer relationships and contributing to new-business growth Confidence discussing technical or industrial products with customers A bachelor's degree Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills A proactive, commercially focused approach Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events Direct experience with polyolefins, including polyethylene or polypropylene, would be advantageous but is not essential.
