Sales Representative - Waste & Recycling About Us Suburban Carting is a family-owned waste and recycling company serving Westchester and Putnam Counties for nearly 60 years and is seeking a Sales Representative with knowledge of the Waste & Recycling industry . We provide waste collection, recycling, transfer station, dumpster, and fiber recovery services to commercial, municipal, and residential customers throughout the region. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to grow our customer base throughout Westchester, Putnam, and surrounding markets. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a Sales Representative with waste and recycling industry experience who can contribute immediately with minimal training. The ideal candidate understands the local market, can build relationships, generate new business, and manage accounts independently. Responsibilities Prospect and close new commercial, industrial, and municipal accounts Grow existing customer relationships Conduct customer site visits and identify service opportunities Prepare proposals, bids, and service agreements Meet sales and revenue goals Work with operations to ensure successful service implementation Stay informed on local market conditions and industry trends Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales or customer relations role within the waste and recycling industry Knowledge of Westchester and Putnam County markets Proven ability to develop new business and maintain customer relationships Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently Reliable vehicle with insurance minimum requirements Valid driver's license Preferred Existing industry contacts and relationships Experience selling waste, recycling, compactor, roll-off, or transfer station services Background in paper recycling, fiber recovery, or commodity recycling markets Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary plus uncapped commission Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with profit sharing Paid time off and holidays Mileage reimbursement Work Location Field-based Sales Representative position serving Westchester, Putnam, and surrounding markets.
