Driver's License Full Job Description Territory Sales Representative Location:
Fort Worth, TX —
In Office Travel:
Approximately 3-5 days of out-of-state travel per month
Position Overview:
Flannery Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer of specialty aluminum trims and architectural building products serving the commercial construction industry through a nationwide distributor network. We are seeking a Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow an established sales territory from our Fort Worth headquarters. You will inherit an existing customer base and relationships that have been built over many years, along with known opportunities for continued growth. This position offers a balance between account management and business development. You will inherit an established customer base, but the opportunity goes beyond simply maintaining existing business. Success comes from providing exceptional service, strengthening customer relationships, developing known opportunities, and thoughtfully expanding our network within a well-defined market. When not traveling, you will work from our office preparing quotations, processing orders, communicating with customers, coordinating with production, and planning future sales trips. Approximately 3-5 days each month will be spent traveling outside Texas to visit distributors, contractors, and other customers throughout your assigned territory. Our sales representatives take ownership of every order they sell—from quotation through shipment. Because sales works closely with our operations team throughout that process, this is an in-office position when not traveling. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
Manage an established sales territory and remain attentive to the needs of existing customers. Build and maintain relationships with distributors, contractors, and other customers. Prepare quotations, process orders, and follow up on sales opportunities. Communicate pricing, product information, availability, and production lead times. Coordinate with operations to provide customers with accurate information and exceptional service. Plan and conduct customer visits throughout the assigned territory. Develop known opportunities and identify new accounts that could contribute to long-term territory growth. Maintain organized records of customer communication, opportunities, and follow-up activity. Remain involved with each order from the initial request through shipment.
Qualifications:
One to three years of professional customer-facing, sales, or account management experience is preferred. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional and dependable. Organized and attentive to detail. Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and in person. Able to work independently while remaining accountable to the broader team. Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight as needed. Experience with QuickBooks is a strong plus. Construction industry experience is helpful but not required. Direct sales experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a stable work history, strong communication skills, and relevant transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
What We're Looking For:
This position is best suited for someone in the early stages of a sales career who wants to develop professionally, take ownership of a territory, and grow with one company over the long term. Industry and product knowledge can be taught. We place greater value on work ethic, coachability, professionalism, follow-through, and the ability to earn a customer's trust. As a family-owned business, we work as one team. Sales works closely with production and the rest of our operations team every day. We support our sales team, stand behind what we sell, and believe lasting success is built through honest selling, exceptional service, consistent effort, and personal accountability.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting base salary of $60,000-$65,000, based on experience and qualifications. Incentive program with monthly and quarterly bonuses tied to territory growth compared with historical sales. Health, dental, and vision coverage. Paid time off. If you are looking to build a long-term sales career while managing an established territory with meaningful growth potential, we would like to hear from you.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): Are you able to work Monday-Friday in person at our Haltom City facility? Are you willing and able to travel overnight outside Texas approximately 3-5 days per month? What specifically interested you in this position? This role balances servicing established customers with developing new opportunities. Which side comes more naturally to you, and which would require more development?
