Full-Time / Part-Time Position Summary Livoti's Old World Market is seeking an experienced and dependable Produce Cut Person to join our Produce Department. This position is responsible for preparing, cutting, packaging, and merchandising fresh fruits and vegetables while maintaining the highest standards of quality, freshness, food safety, and presentation. The ideal candidate has previous experience in produce preparation, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional products to our customers. Essential Responsibilities Cut, peel, slice, dice, and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables according to company standards. Prepare value-added produce items such as fruit trays, vegetable trays, fresh-cut fruit cups, stir-fry mixes, and other grab-and-go products. Package, label, date, and rotate products following food safety guidelines. Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays while ensuring freshness and quality. Inspect produce daily and remove damaged or expired products. Follow all sanitation, food safety, and health department regulations. Properly clean and sanitize all cutting equipment, workstations, utensils, and prep areas throughout the day. Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to department management. Safely operate knives, slicers, scales, wrapping equipment, and other department tools. Assist customers with product questions and provide outstanding customer service. Support other Produce Department duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience cutting and preparing fresh produce is required. Knowledge of produce handling, storage, and freshness standards. Ability to safely use knives and food preparation equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Repetitive cutting, slicing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Comfortable working in refrigerated environments. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as business needs require.
