full-time We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Individual to join our retail team! In this pivotal role, you will support the team in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated associates. Overview Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment. Keep floor clear of debris and spills. Monitor storage area for cleanliness, neatness and preparing for next shift; i.e. make bales, make room for future deliveries. Check in all vendors, matching incoming product with purchase orders Handle damaged or return to stock products according to company policy. Responsible for all opening and closing procedures, i.e. balancing cashiers and the safe as well as compiling required sales reports. Walk the store routinely to evaluate and assess department conditions, building maintenance, product levels, merchandising standards, staffing, and customer service levels. Control shrink by monitoring front end as well as potential customer and employee theft. Greet all customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance. Observe all safety regulations when operating equipment. Follow all safety procedures relating to opening cartons, rotation of product. . Must be knowledgeable in the various types of products carried in the store. Utilize equipment as required by department. Dress according to company policy to include uniform, name badge. Comply with all Store rules, Company policies, safety requirements, security standards and all local State and Federal health and civil code regulations. Adhere to all Federal, State and Local regulations as they pertain to the liquor industry Complete all applicable equipment training programs, specifically the WAVE and pallet jack. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Strong leadership abilities with previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail or grocery settings. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Proficiency in retail math, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management techniques. Skilled in negotiation, marketing strategies, merchandising, and store presentation. Adept at managing time effectively while multitasking across various responsibilities such as cashiering, stock stocking, and store management. Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales processes. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
