THE ROLE OF A GROCERY RECEIVER/STOCKIST

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Grocery Receiver/Stockist has a keen attention to detail and is driven to keep store shelves full and displays looking their best! You will be responsible for receiving deliveries (in all elements!) and either stocking/merchandising product on the floor or storing product according to the store's back stock system. Additional daily duties of the job include inventory, back stock management and organization and POS data entry. As a Grocery Receiver/Stockist, another big part of your role is to help customers navigate and learn about the wide range of global pantry staples and specialties that Providore offers. Customers will look to you for answers about our products, their uses, substitutions, and cooking advice. This is the perfect job for someone who is highly visual, creative, loves good food, loves to talk about good food, and enjoys constantly moving and organizing.

THE NEED

REQUIREMENTS

You have availability for Part-Time (25-36hrs/week) or Full-Time hours (36-40hrs/week) and can work regular weekend and evening shifts (Our store hours are 10a-7p everyday)Open availability is required during the holidays (November 15 January 1) with no pre-arranged travel.

The ideal candidate is able to fulfill the physical demands of the job including standing on your feet all day, and safely lifting loads of up to 50 pounds. Bending, stooping, crawling, standing, lifting, walking, vision, and hearing are all requirements of the job. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
