Position Overview The Formulation Specialist plays a vital role in providing technical support to pharmacists and advocating the use of SpecializedRx products through excellent communication. This position is responsible for drafting formulations to build and maintain a formulation library that supports the use of SpecializedRx's robust catalog. The Formulation Specialist conducts proof-of-concept, verification, and supporting studies with sound technical data and advice in response to client inquiries. The role requires strict adherence to laboratory formulation documentation practices. In addition, the Formulation Specialist is actively involved in sponsoring and drafting stability studies in support of product or regulation requirements. The ideal candidate will function efficiently in an agile environment, rapidly address client requests, maintains an absolute standard of customer-facing professionalism, and successfully masters and retains knowledge of a vast, highly diverse product portfolio.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to pharmacists, including answering phones, processing orders, providing documentation, and managing paperwork Draft formulas that promote the SpecializedRx product line and perform laboratory work that documents the support of these formulas Draft and execute stability studies Assist pharmacists with inquiries and medication-related questions Provide friendly and professional customer service Assist Sales and Customer Service to assist in business development activities through technical support Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations Preparation and management of contact lists Track results and report on progress of department goals Maintain and develop relationships with assigned accounts Enter orders and assist customers with product-related questions Document exchange of information in an organized system or CRM for future reference Assist in the development and review of technical content for marketing eff orts and new product launches Represent SpecializedRx at conferences, trade shows, and other industry events as assigned Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills to support professional growth Perform other duties as assigned Technical Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical science related fi eld preferred 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred, with an emphasis on pharmacy compounding Prior pharmacy experience preferred 1-3 years of experience in sales support and/or customer service a plus Strong work ethic and ability to manage a high volume of tasks at once Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong listening skills Experience with telemarketing/lead generation preferred but not required Prior experience with CRM systems a plus Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office products (including Outlook and Excel) required Ability to develop and maintain a portfolio of prospective clients Outgoing attitude and desire to achieve results-driven goals Orientation towards teamwork and a collaborative environment Proven track record of flexibility in a team setting Customer-focused mentality with a passion for exceptional customer service Ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer service orientated environment Strong organization and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively Ability to track information accurately with a strong attention to detail Ability to consistently maintain an upbeat and positive attitude High motivation and flexibility Excellent mathematical skills Detailed record-keeping skills, excellent and independent follow-through with a high degree of accuracy Ability to learn new systems quickly
