postdoc Send Save You need to sign in or create an account to save The Experimental Particle Physics Group led by Prof. Zepeng Li at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position. The group is actively involved in the KamLAND-Zen and
COHERENT
experiments. The successful candidate will primarily develop fast machine-learning algorithms for FPGA-based real-time data processing in KamLAND-Zen. Opportunities will also be available to contribute to the group's
COHERENT
research program, including cryogenic CsI detector R D, machine-learning-based self-trigger development, and data analysis. The successful candidate will join the stimulating research environment of the University of Hawaiʻi High Energy Physics Group, whose research spans neutrino physics, dark-matter searches, particle astrophysics, flavor physics, detector instrumentation, and advanced computing. The position offers significant opportunities to lead technical developments, pursue independent research, collaborate with national laboratories and international research teams, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students. Minimum Qualifications A Ph.D. in experimental particle physics, nuclear physics, electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field, completed by the start date. Experience in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, FPGA firmware development, detector R D, or experimental data analysis.
