Work Schedule:
B shift from 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM. Overtime will be dependent on need of business.

Melrose Park, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $20.00 - 22.86 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform and peer-review routine microbiological testing on environmental samples, in-process materials, finished products, and raw materials. Conduct environmental monitoring across production areas, including water systems, compressed gases, and ISO Class 5 cleanrooms. Maintain ISO Class 5 gowning certification and assist in training manufacturing personnel on aseptic techniques. Execute microbial identification procedures, including sub-culture work, Gram staining, and operating MALDI systems. Author basic investigative studies (OOS, OOT, OOL) to identify root causes and update departmental SOPs. Manage laboratory equipment calibrations, maintain LIMS data entries, and support process validation protocols.
qualifications:
Required Skills BS in Biological Science 1-3 years progressive laboratory experience; working knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and compendial methods Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills qqability to maintain ISO Class 5 gowning certification; physical ability to stand, walk, and handle lab equipment up to 70% of the shift.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience with MALDI system microbial identification; familiarity with SKAN isolator sterility testing; experience with LIMS and KabiTrack platforms. #LI-ST1 skills: Microbiology, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Quality Control (QC)
