From designing and executing research trials to optimizing IVF systems and evaluating emerging technologies, you'll have the opportunity to directly influence the future of bovine reproductive biotechnology. RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all stages of the IVF process including oocyte handling, maturation, fertilization, embryo culture, development, and assessment. Execute research and development trials focused on improving embryo production, quality, and laboratory performance. Support the development, validation, and implementation of new protocols, media systems, and laboratory procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition successful R&D projects into commercial operations. Troubleshoot laboratory processes and contribute creative solutions to technical challenges. Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure data integrity, traceability, and quality standards. Support pilot studies, technology evaluations, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects. Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and work areas while adhering to quality, safety, and biosecurity standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Reproductive Biology, Animal Science, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on IVF or embryology laboratory experience; advanced graduate research experience may be considered. Strong understanding of IVF workflows, embryo development, and laboratory best practices. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and organize work around project deliverables. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Creative, curious, and open-minded approach to innovation and continuous improvement. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across scientific and operational teams. Experience with molecular biology, stem cell research, automation technologies, CRISPR/gene editing, or related advanced laboratory techniques is a plus.
