These positions are located in the Farm Service Agency in the following locations: Franklin, Robertson County Plainview, Hale County Seguin, Guadalupe County The incumbent will receive on-the-job training to develop proficiency in all functions and operations of the Field Office. Duties include but are not limited to clerical support, loan processing and servicing, office management, general information, and public relations.
Qualifications:

Your application and resume must clearly show that you possess the experience requirements. If education is required or being used to qualify, you must submit a copy of your transcripts. Specialized Experience Requirement at the GS-5 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as:
applying office methods and procedures to provide clerical and limited technical support to any program. OR Education at the GS-5 grade level: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR Combination of Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience as listed above. Specialized Experience at the GS-6 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as:
applying office methods and procedures to provide clerical and limited technical support to process and service loans or agricultural programs. OR Education at the GS-06 grade level: One half year (9 Semester Hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: finance, business administration, economics, accounting, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.
OR Combination of Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience as listed above. For the GS-07 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as:
applying office methods and procedures to provide clerical and limited technical support to independently perform a full range of farm loan program processes. OR Education at the GS-07 grade level: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 1 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: finance, business administration, economics, accounting, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology;
OR Combination of Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience as listed above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
