Duties Safely performs analytical testing (quality control testing, manufacturing plant technical support and evaluation of new sources of raw materials and finished products) Basic wet chemistry and use of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrument equipment Receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all required inspections and certifications are completed for instruments and other lab-related equipment Provide oversight and training for lab personnel to ensure consistent lab practices, safety compliance, and quality standards Assumes technical responsibilities including operating various laboratory and office equipment as necessary to meet scheduling demands Makes personnel shifts when necessary to accommodate fluctuating workloads Maintain lab inventory, including supplies, materials, and equipment needed to support daily lab operations Provides guidance to employees regarding pulling optimal samples from raw materials Checks and transfers data as necessary and takes steps to correct possibly inaccurate data prior to processing Conducts routine and random facility tours to maintain safety and proper regulations Maintains telephone communication with various agencies and individuals concerning status of samples Works closely with research & development team to ensure accuracy of samples Perform other duties as assigned Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of relevant experience preferred

Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening Must possess a valid Driver's License Prior experience using ICP equipment #
