Pay Rate:

$25/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, standard working hours

Responsibilities:

Batching samples for analytical analyses. Perform manual wet-chemistry techniques such as alkalinity, pH, conductivity, TDS and TCLP extractions. Perform multi-element acid digestions via hot block, hotplate and microwave procedures. Perform gold and copper extractions using cyanide and weak acid solutions: cyanide soluble gold (AuCN), preg-robbing gold (AuPR), cyanide soluble copper (CuCN3), and acid soluble copper (CuAS) tests. Digesting, filtering, and pre-roasting samples for LECO analysis. Prepare carbon samples for fire assay. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, coordinate ordering and inventory of consumables, and manage hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols. Assess and update laboratory procedures such as SOPs, maintain clear and organized records, and actively participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
