Full Job Description Job Summary:
Chemical Lab Technician supporting on the work that is being a carried over for the 1st shift, clean room activities, equipment for the coating parts, cleaned and reset and reassembled, a lot of stuff with electrodes, cutting, different hands on tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform all required tasks in relation to equipment setup, operation, cleaning, testing, and process checks to ensure reliable and consistent functionality. Work consistently in controlled, "clean room" environment while wearing required protective equipment. Utilize Job Instruction Training process to grow combined skill set of work group. Mix chemicals (liquids, powders, gases) to a specified recipe. Perform scheduled equipment maintenance and required cleaning. Observe equipment functionality and troubleshoot issues when needed. Maintain records on work performed, analyze data collected, and report results. Recommend revisions to lab process. Document best practices in battery cell manufacturing processes through standardized work instructions Use data collection to make well informed process improvements through corrective action. Identify and eliminate operational waste through use of Lean manufacturing tools. Execute problem solving techniques to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Maintain good housekeeping, safety practices, and supplies. Coordinate and exchange findings with engineering personnel outside work group Properly dispose of material waste Actively participate in team/group Business Plan Deployment meetings Coordinate Test/build/and Preventive maintenance activities with stakeholders and support teams to ensure on time completion. Vet incoming work requests to ensure equipment and hardware resources are in place to support.
Requirements:
Education requirements - Associate degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical field or equivalent experience (is flexible to candidates without degrees if they have a good experience) 2+ years previous working experience in a lab/testing environment Battery experience, a lot of lab experience is really helpful, not required Working knowledge of computer applications used in lab/manufacturing environments. Ability to accurately interpret engineering instructions. Oral and written communication skills Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and assigned leaders in an inclusive, team environment. Position is working 3rd shift 11pm to 7:30am Must be flexible to be willing to work any shift. Comfortable with being able to switch gears, comfortable working around chemicals (the use of PPE - this is very important and priority of safety)

This is a 1 round in person as the hiring manager wants candidates to get a tour of the facility Duration will be at 1 hour Attendees - 2 people attending, manager and one other person
