Job Description:

Fireplace Mike is seeking a Gas Fireplace Technician to join our growing team. This position is open to both experienced technicians and entry-level candidates who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn . Experienced technicians will perform service, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations while providing exceptional customer service. Entry-level candidates will receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced technicians and learning the skills needed to become a professional fireplace technician. The ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is looking for a career opportunity—not just another job .

Responsibilities:

Perform gas fireplace service, inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs Troubleshoot gas, electrical, and mechanical components Diagnose fireplace issues and recommend proper solutions Assist with fireplace installations and replacements Learn and follow manufacturer specifications and safety procedures Complete service calls in residential homes Communicate professionally with homeowners Explain findings, repairs, and recommendations clearly Maintain a clean and organized work environment Complete service paperwork accurately

Qualifications:

Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills Comfortable working with hand tools and learning new equipment Reliable and dependable work ethic Strong attention to detail Professional communication skills Ability to work in residential homes Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience (Not Required): Experience in any of the following is a plus: Gas fireplaces HVAC Appliance repair Electrical troubleshooting Plumbing Construction Automotive repair Maintenance or mechanical work

Experienced Technician Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have: Experience diagnosing and repairing equipment Ability to troubleshoot independently Knowledge of gas, electrical, and mechanical systems Experience working directly with customers Ability to complete service calls efficiently and professionally

Experienced Technician Pay Range:

$30.00-$40.00 per hour based on experience, skill level, and qualifications.

Entry-Level Technician Trainee:

We are willing to train the right person who: Wants to learn a specialized skilled trade Is mechanically curious and enjoys fixing things Takes direction well and learns quickly Wants a long-term career path Is willing to complete training and certifications No fireplace experience is required. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Entry-Level Technician Pay Range:

$19.00-$25.00 per hour based on mechanical ability, previous experience, and growth potential.

Fireplace Mike provides training in: Gas fireplace operation Troubleshooting and diagnostics Electrical testing Fireplace maintenance procedures Manufacturer-specific systems Customer service skills Industry safety standards NFI certification pathway
