Rinker Inc. is a growing company specializing in residential standby generator installations, ductless heating and cooling systems, and electrical services. We are looking for an experienced Propane & Natural Gas Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on field position primarily supporting our residential generator installation and service operations. The right candidate will have thorough propane and natural gas experience, take pride in doing quality work, and be comfortable working directly with customers. What You'll Do Set and install propane tanks for residential generator installations. Connect generators to existing propane and natural gas systems. Install, modify, troubleshoot, and service propane and natural gas piping systems. Work directly with customers to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and identify potential service or sales opportunities. Operate a crane truck to transport and set propane tanks at job sites. Transport tools, equipment, and materials to generator installation and service sites. Operate light excavation equipment when necessary to install gas or electrical lines. Work alongside our generator technicians and electricians to complete installations. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional job site. Complete basic service documentation and job notes. Follow applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and company safety procedures.

What We're Looking For Required:

3-5 years of experience working with propane and/or natural gas systems. CDL with Hazmat endorsement. Working knowledge of NFPA 54 and NFPA 58. Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting propane and natural gas systems. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Basic computer skills. Good communication and customer-service skills. Valid driver's license and safe driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding work as required.

Preferred:

Experience operating a crane truck for propane tank transportation and placement. Experience hauling equipment and materials to residential job sites. Experience operating equipment for light excavation/trenching. Experience working with residential standby generators. Experience installing or servicing Rinnai tankless water heaters.
