$17/hr Join Our Extraction Team Dragonfly Medical Cannabis is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Extraction Lab Assistant to support our cannabis extraction laboratory. This position works directly with our Lead Extractor, assisting with ethanol extraction, laboratory preparation, equipment maintenance, sanitation, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in laboratory operations, cannabis manufacturing, chemistry, or process engineering who enjoys working in a highly regulated, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do As an Extraction Lab Assistant, you will help ensure the safe and efficient production of high-quality cannabis extracts by: Assisting with ethanol extraction processes under the supervision of the Lead Extractor Preparing equipment before production runs and cleaning equipment after each extraction Supporting solvent recovery and handling procedures Monitoring laboratory cleanliness and maintaining organized workspaces Assisting with preventative maintenance and routine inspections of extraction equipment Maintaining accurate production records and inventory documentation Following all state compliance requirements and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assisting with cannabis waste processing and disposal procedures Reporting equipment concerns or safety issues immediately Following all PPE, sanitation, and laboratory safety requirements Participating in ongoing training and process improvements What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old Ability to obtain and maintain a Utah Cannabis Production Establishment Agent Card Strong attention to detail Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Comfortable working around laboratory equipment and chemical solvents Ability to work effectively as part of a small team Preferred Qualifications Previous laboratory experience Experience in cannabis extraction or manufacturing Experience with ethanol, CO₂, or hydrocarbon extraction systems Basic understanding of chemistry, food science, or manufacturing processes Experience using cannabis inventory systems such as METRC or BioTrack Physical Requirements This position regularly requires employees to: Stand for extended periods Lift up to 50 pounds Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Work in a laboratory environment with varying temperatures and chemical odors Safely handle laboratory equipment under supervision Why Join Dragonfly?
