Data Analyst
IN-PERSON, BUCKHANNON, WEST VIRGINIA 26201
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced oil and gas data analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and maintaining geological and engineering data for oil and gas exploration and production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by employing quality control measures and adherence to industry standards. 2. Create and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data repositories for easy access and retrieval. 3. Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other technical professionals to support data-driven decision-making. 4. Generate daily and weekly reports, charts, and visualizations to communicate data insights to stakeholders and management. 5. Assist in the evaluation and selection of software tools and technologies for data analysis and management. 6. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in oil and gas data management.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in data management and analysis within the oil and gas industry preferred. 2. Proficiency in utilizing data management and visualization software, GIS tools, Excel, Microsoft Access, and database systems. 3. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets. 4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams. 5. Understanding of oil and gas exploration, drilling, and production processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 2. Certification in data management preferred. 3. Familiarity with reservoir engineering concepts and software applications.
