Peptide HPLC Analyst

Job Description

Reports to: Head Scientist Main Responsibilities Perform peptide identification, purity, and mass analysis using HPLC and related analytical techniques. Prepare peptide samples for HPLC analysis, including weighing, dilution, dissolution, filtration, and transferring samples into HPLC vials. Prepare and handle HPLC standards and reference samples. Prepare HPLC mobile phases, solvents, buffers, and other required solutions. Perform standard curve preparation and calculations as required for analytical testing. Operate HPLC instruments, perform injections, and monitor HPLC runs. Analyze chromatograms and calculate peptide purity and other required analytical results. Perform and document mass/identity confirmation of peptide samples using the appropriate analytical method. Perform endotoxin testing and sterility/microbial testing according to approved procedures. Maintain accurate laboratory records and analytical data in accordance with GLP and company SOPs. Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) based on completed analytical testing. Ensure COA results accurately correspond to laboratory records and approved specifications. Report unusual results, failed tests, or analytical issues to the Head Scientist. Maintain HPLC instruments, laboratory equipment, standards, reagents, and work areas. Perform all testing and COA preparation under the supervision and final review of the Head Scientist. Qualifications B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field preferred, but not required. Previous HPLC experience is preferred. Experience with peptide analysis is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accurate laboratory technique. Ability to perform laboratory calculations and follow analytical procedures. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow GLP/SOP requirements. Training Training will be provided for peptide analytical methods, HPLC operation, sample preparation, standard curve calculations, endotoxin and sterility testing, data analysis, and COA preparation.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
