Overview Position available as full-time, part-time, or contract (consultation), based on experience and performance. We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to lead the implementation, method development, and validation of our liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) platforms. This role is responsible for commissioning new instrumentation, building robust analytical methods from the ground up, and executing comprehensive validation protocols within a regulated quality environment. Pay rate is commensurate with technical qualifications, instrumentation background, and depth of method development experience, with significant upward flexibility for seasoned specialists. Responsibilities Oversee the onboarding, qualification, and commissioning (IQ/OQ/PQ) of analytical chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation. Design, develop, and optimize sensitive

analytical methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis across various matrices. Author, execute, and document formal method validation protocols and reports (evaluating linearity, accuracy, precision, LOD/LOQ, matrix effects, and stability) in accordance with relevant quality guidelines. Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), system suitability criteria, and instrument maintenance routines. Conduct routine preventative maintenance, source cleanings, and advanced instrument troubleshooting. Maintain rigorous, data-integrity-compliant records, audit-ready validation packages, and technical documentation. Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated hands-on experience with
LC-MS/MS
instrument operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. Demonstrated hands-on experience with UPLC instrument operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. Proven track record of independently developing chromatographic separations and mass spec detection parameters (e.g., compound optimization, MRM transitions, mobile phase selection). Working knowledge of analytical method validation frameworks and regulatory guidelines. Familiarity with instrument qualification protocols and chromatography data systems (CDS/MS software). Familiarity with Waters systems, Empower, Masslynx. Strong technical writing skills for drafting clear, audit-compliant SOPs and validation documentation. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with relevant laboratory experience.
Pay:
