Aptar Pharma:

The primary mission of the Formulation & Manufacturing Chemist I is to support early-phase development and cGMP manufacturing of orally inhaled and nasal drug products (OINDPs). This role combines hands-on manufacturing execution with laboratory-based formulation development, requiring strong attention to detail, scientific rigor, and disciplined experimental practices. The individual will work across R D and Manufacturing environments to prepare and evaluate formulations, troubleshooting process challenges, and support the transition of early-stage formulations into GMP clinical production.

What Aptar Pharma Is Looking For:

Execute GMP manufacturing activities (formulation preparation, device filling, assembly)

Perform line setup, in-process checks, and equipment cleaning per SOPs

Document all activities in batch records with high accuracy

Maintain compliance with cGMP, data integrity, and safety requirements

Support cleanroom operations and material control

Prepare and evaluate lab-scale formulations

Design and execute controlled formulation experiments

Document procedures, observations, and results with precision

Interpret experimental outcomes and identify process/formulation adjustments

Troubleshoot formulation and process issues

Support scale-up of lab processes into GMP manufacturing

Collaborate with R D, Engineering, and Quality teams

Support technology transfer and clinical supply production

Escalate deviations and inconsistencies in a structured manner What you will bring on the journey Education Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Engineering Experience 0-5 years of relevant experience (laboratory, manufacturing, or engineering)

GMP experience preferred but not required

Strong laboratory discipline and willingness to learn GMP required Skills Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Careful and precise execution of formulations and experiments

Ability to detect subtle inconsistencies in materials or processes

Ability to operate in both R D and GMP environments

Strong hands-on problem-solving mindset

Mechanical aptitude with process equipment

Effective team communication Ideal Backgrounds Laboratory technicians transitioning into pharmaceutical manufacturing

Early-career formulation scientists

Engineers with hands-on lab or process experience
