Job Description:
Technical Assistants in the Chemistry department will: Provide assistance to the department chairperson and faculty in the operation of laboratories in conjunction with instructional courses as well as general assistance in those areas necessary for the operation of the laboratories. Make minor repairs and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment, recorders, projectors, microscopes, etc. Assist faculty members in the operation of audio-visual equipment. Assist in laboratory experiments for instructional purposes. Maintain records of equipment issue and use, as well as material and supply stock levels. Assist in the preparation and administration of laboratory examinations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's of Arts (BA) or Bachelor's of Science (BS) in Chemistry or equivalent; Two (2) years related lab experience; Experience with video conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Excel, Word, Power Point and Share Point.
