Job Description

SUMMARY:

Northern Oklahoma College Division of Agriculture & Biological Science in Stillwater is seeking a Part-Time, 15 hour/week Laboratory Coordinator to oversee the laboratory components of Biological Science and Chemistry courses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Communicating with lecture and laboratory instructors concerning lab needs and location of lab materials.

Maintain lab and storeroom safety.

Maintain clean and organized laboratory work space and storeroom.

Ensure that all lab equipment is in working order

Mixing of chemical solutions and media preparation.

Proper disposal of lab waste materials.

Ensure glassware/equipment is clean and ready to use.

Conducting inventory and ordering lab supplies as needed for lab sections.

General maintenance of the laboratory classrooms.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a minimum of an associate's degree in the Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or closely related field.

Strong communication skills.

Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure which includes a criminal background check.

A successful candidate will have experience in laboratory procedures, preparing chemical solutions and media, and possess strong communication skills.
