International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. seeks Seasoning Flavorist, Senior in Carrollton, TX, to execute snack food customer briefs and commercial technology validation for implementation for the region.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science, or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related occupation: creating consumer preferred seasonings for snack foods; anticipating, investigating, and resolving problems related to raw materials and flavor systems during manufacturing scale-up procedures; leading Global and Region projects for key Global Accounts; testing and evaluating new raw materials and technologies with experimental design; assisting internally and externally to solve raw material and manufacturing issues including troubleshooting manufacturing procedures including addition and blend times, and identifying quality issues with ingredients, including caking, agglomeration, high moisture, or inconsistent particle size; investigating and resolving problems related to seasoning behavior and flavor systems during manufacturing of Finished product at Snack manufacturing plants. Two (2) years of experience must include: training seasoning flavorists to develop consumer preferred seasonings including training to identify potential functionality and shelf-life issues with seasonings; and leading productivity projects to reduce cost of seasonings including identifying raw material and ingredient alternatives and alternative manufacturing processes. Employer will accept two (2) years of related work experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree requirement. 20% travel required nationally and internationally for plant trials and/or Culinary explorations.
